Andrew McCabe who was the number two man at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who went on terminal leave in January expecting to maintain his retirement has been FIRED just two days before he would have walked with his full retirement benefits.
The firing was done based on the recommendation of the Office of Professional Management for what is said to be leaking information as well as lying during the investigation into all things surrounding the shady things taking place during the 2016 election.
So far most of the information is based on mere rumor but I think it is a pretty safe bet that there has got to be some very serious underlying reasons for the Office of Professional Management to recommend firing an FBI agent for an otherwise distinguished career.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has just released the following statement:
“After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).”
“The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor – including under oath – on multiple occasions,” the statement continued.
“The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, “all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand,” Sessions said.
“Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”
Of course, Andrew McCabe has wasted no time blaming all of this on “personal attacks” on him and his family by the President along with the typical liberal line about Republican’s wanting to distract from the investigation by Robert Mueller into “collusion” with the Russians by President Trump in which he is a potential witness.
What his defenders are NOT mentioning is that it was his own people that recommended that he be fired, he disgraced the FBI and now has to pay the price like anyone else guilty of the same infractions. His defenders are making a big deal of him being fired after 19 years of service but none of them batted an eye when they set General Flynn up who served near 40 years with a distinguished career.
There is going to be a LOT more uncovered before this is all over and it is said that McCabe has declared that if he goes down he will not go down alone… That does not exactly sound like someone who is innocent, it sounds like someone who knows they are part of a much larger circle of corruption that we know about yet…
What are your thoughts on this… Was this a good move by Attorney General Jeff Sessions? Will more terminations follow? I think this is just the beginning.
Any officer can get by on his sergeants. To be a sergeant you have to know your stuff. I’d rather be an outstanding sergeant than just another officer.
